Sunday, November 20th:
Stewardship Commitment Sunday – “As support for our church grows, so does its ability to serve”……… is the CPC 2012 stewardship campaign theme with our Commitment Sunday scheduled for Sunday, November 20, 2011. Leading up to Commitment Sunday, current Session members are providing brief presentations each Sunday regarding how your money is spent to support their respective Commission and what they would do if they each had an additional $1,000 dollars in their annual budget. Each family unit at CPC is urged to increase their pledge by $2.00 per week or $104.00 annually to support the goals of all CPC programs in 2012 if you can. The Session does appreciate your ever faithful loyally in pledging for the support of all CPC programs in order to create a 2012 budget that enhances CPC for all of us. May you all prayerfully consider your monetary commitment to CPC for 2012 as we strive to make CPC an even better worship and spiritual experience
Hanging of the Greens – the children will decorate the Christmas tree in the main hallway. Decorations will be a mixture of original artwork completed by our children or store bought ornaments. It’s sure to be a spectacular site.
Friday, December 2nd:
Angel Tree Shopping – once again the children will collect money to be used in purchasing gifts for Angel Tree recipients. The kids will meet at the church on Friday, December 2nd at 6:30. As a group we will travel to Target to purchase gifts and then return to the church for pizza and a movie. What a wonderful act of giving to kick off the holiday season!
Sunday, December 11th:
Christmas Program – Join us for an evening of laughter and joy as the children of CPC perform two Christmas plays: Christmas Idol and Mary, On Jesus’ Birth. This will be a mixture of laugh out loud comedy and a heartwarming tale of the night Jesus was born. The wonder begins at 4:00 p.m.
